No. 20 Men's Soccer falls 1-0 to No. 6 Baker University

BALDWIN CITY – Facing their third NAIA top 10 opponent in their last five matches, the No. 20 Raven Men's Soccer team outshot No. 6 Baker University on Wednesday night, but in the end, an early Wildcat goal gave Baker all they needed in a 1-0 win over the Ravens.

Benedictine (8-3-1, 3-3 Heart) outshot Baker (9-1-1, 5-0 Heart) 11-9 but only managed five shots on goal in the loss.

Baker scored during the 20th minute of play and then the two teams settled into a stalemate.

Leonardo Armando led the Ravens with three shots, one on goal, while Adam James and Lukcas Palmer added two shots each.

Caleb Jenkins went all 90 minutes in goal, giving up the one goal with five saves.

Benedictine remains on the road for their next match as they travel to Des Moines on Oct. 14 to take on Grand View University at 7:30 p.m.
