FAYETTE, Mo. – The Raven Men's Basketball team rebounded from a Saturday road loss on Monday night, beating No. 22 Central Methodist University 74-70.
Benedictine (10-4, 4-4 Heart) hit 50 percent from the floor in the second half, while converting on 66.7 percent from beyond the 3-point arc as they erased a six-point halftime lead to outscore CMU (10-6, 4-4 Heart) in the second half, 44-34.
John Harris Jr. missed out on his first career triple-double by one assist and one rebound. He finished the game with 13 points, 9 assists and 9 rebounds as the Ravens moved back to .500 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
Jake Schannuth had his second straight solid road game for the Ravens, scoring a game-high 19 points in the win. He converted on 5 of 8 from the floor and went 7 of 8 from the charity stripe.
Benedictine outscored CMU 31-24 off the bench on Monday night. Connor Fleming went 5 for 5 from the floor en route to 13 points while Austin Eckert continued his hot streak from beyond the arc, converting three 3-pointers to finish with 9 points.
CJ Vallejo also converted three 3-pointers to finish with 11 points, giving the Ravens four double-figure scorers in the win.
The Ravens finished the game at 49.0 percent from the floor and 47.6 percent from beyond the arc.
Benedictine returns home on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. game against Heart newcomer Grand View University. Thursday marks the annual Student Appreciation Night with ice cream sandwiches being handed out between the Ravens and Lady Ravens games.
