Brandon Boh paced the Raven Men's Lacrosse team with three goals and an assist but the Ottawa University Braves proved to be too much on offense to overcome as they ended the Ravens inaugural season with a 20-9 loss.
Benedictine (5-9, 1-5 KCAC) gave up five goals in the first quarter to Ottawa (9-4, 4-2 KCAC) and were never able to overcome their early deficit.
Ottawa outscored Benedictine 14-5 in the first quarter en route to a 56-32 advantage by the end of the game.
The Ravens struggled to get their offense going as they were only able to win 12 of 31 face-offs to Ottawa's 19 of 31 effort. Benedictine also committed 11 first-quarter turnovers which allowed the Braves to get their offense going.
Zach McGuff played all 60 minutes in goal for the Ravens and recorded 15 saves, 10 of which came in the first half allowing the Ravens to remaining close, 9-3, at the break.
The Ravens finish in fifth place in the KCAC standings, missing out on the KCAC Tournament as only the top four teams from the conference regular season qualify for tournament play.
