After playing through 90 minutes in a draw with Park University, the No. 4-ranked Raven Women's Soccer team earned their third straight win on Wednesday night with a golden-goal during the 102nd minute of play.
Park struck first off a free kick just outside the box during the ninth minute of the match.
Benedictine didn't answer until the 36th minute when Routh scored off an assist from Nicole Kelly to pull the match even headed into halftime.
The Ravens held a 12-3 advantage in shots during the first half and added a 10-4 advantage in the second half to head into the first golden goal period.
Benedictine managed two shots in the first golden goal and needed just the one shot by Romano in the second golden goal to earn the win.
Ellen Loughman played the entire match in goal and tallied three saves in the first half after giving up her lone goal. Park did not have a shot on goal for the remainder of the match as the Ravens finished with a 15-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Ravens return to the road for a trip to Fulton, Mo., on Saturday as they take on William Woods University at 6 p.m. in their final pre-conference non-con match with the Owls.
