The Raven Volleyball team converted a new season high for blocks on Wednesday with 14 block assists and three solo blocks but in the end, it was not enough to take their match with Concordia (Neb.) University inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
Concordia (6-6) used a .344 hitting percentage in set four to pull away from Benedictine (4-6) and earn a 3-1 win
After falling in the first set, 25-22, Benedictine rallied to take set two 25-23 before Concordia was able to take the next two sets, 27-25 and 25-17 to earn the four-set win.
Defensively, the Ravens finished with 69 digs to go along with their new season-high blocking total. Abby Brown recorded 21 digs while Carly Taylor added 13. Kraft finished with four block assists and two solo blocks while Rahmanzai added three block assists and the remaining solo block.
Benedictine is off until Sept. 13 when they travel to Kansas City, Mo., to take on NCAA Div. II Rockhurst University at 7 p.m.
