WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference released the Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll on Monday and the Raven Men's Lacrosse team earned 10 votes in the poll.
Benedictine was selected as the preseason No. 5 selection by KCAC coaches while Missouri Valley College earned five of six first place votes and 25 points as the Vikings were tabbed as the preseason favorite.
Ottawa University was selected second, University of St. Mary was selected third, St. Ambrose University was selected fourth and Clarke University was selected No. 6. Ottawa garnered the remaining first place vote.
The Ravens went 5-8 in the first season of varsity competition last year under head coach Ben Coughlin.
Benedictine opens the season with three straight road contests in the St. Louis area before returning to campus on March 4 to host KCAC opponent St. Ambrose University at 4 p.m. at the BC Soccer Complex.
