KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After finishing the regular season in a three-way tie for second place, the Raven Men's Basketball team have earned the fourth seed in the 2017 Heart Postseason Tournament and will open their postseason run at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The men's tournament gets underway on Tuesday with the Opening Round as the seven through 10 seeds will play each other for a chance to advance to the Quarterfinals.
Benedictine will host a 7 p.m. game on Thursday against No. 5 seed Graceland University in the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
Ticket prices for the Heart Postseason $6 for general admission for adults, $2 for students 17 and under while Benedictine students will be admitted for free with a valid ID presented at the student entrance located at the end of the hallway leading to the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium. Season Tickets will not be accepted for admission to the Heart Postseason Tournament.
William Penn University earned the top seed in the tournament after winning the Heart this season. Grand View University won the three-way tie and earned the second seed while Mount Mercy University earned the three seed.
William Penn will take on the winner of No.8 Baker University vs. No. 9 Peru State College while Grand View awaits the winner of No. 7 Central Methodist University vs. No. 10 Missouri Valley College.
The Semifinal round is scheduled for Saturday and will take place on the campus of the higher seeded teams in the two game match ups. A win on Thursday paired with a win by William Penn would send the Ravens to Oskaloosa, Iowa, on Saturday for their Semifinal game. A win by Benedictine paired with an upset of William Penn would allow the Ravens to host a Semifinal on Saturday.

All games played at Benedictine will be streamed live on the Benedictine Raven Sports Network. The Heart Men's Basketball Championship game on Tuesday, March 8, will be produced by Niles Media again this year and broadcast on ESPN3, KSMO in Kansas City and Mediacom throughout their coverage area.
