After opening the season with a pair of road wins, the Raven Men's Lacrosse team opened up their KCAC schedule on Saturday at home with a match up against St. Ambrose University.
Benedictine (3-0, 1-0 KCAC) scored twice in the fourth quarter to hold off a fourth-quarter comeback by St. Ambrose (1-6, 0-1 KCAC) and earn a 10-8 win.
The two teams went into halftime tied at 4-4 after the Fighting Bees used a three-goal second quarter to pull even. Benedictine held a 8-7 lead in shots at the half with just four turnovers to seven for St. Ambrose.
After four unanswered from St. Ambrose in the fourth quarter tie the game again, Reimer scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with five minutes left in the game before Remy Dujakovich sealed the win with a goal inside the final two minutes of play.
Zach McGuff earned his third win of the season, recording nine saves over 60 minutes in goal.
Dujakovich led the Ravens with three goals off the bench. Reimer was close behind with two goals while Peter Girard and Ryan Heinser added a goal each to go along with the remaining Ravens who scored in the third quarter. Reimer, Girard, Patrick Schmitt and Heinser were all credited with an assist.
The Ravens travel to St. Louis on Wednesday for a game with Missouri Baptist. They remain on the road for a trip up to Michigan for a pair of games on March 11 and 12.
