KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With the NAIA Div. I basketball season drawing to an end tonight with the Championship Game, the Association released its annual scholar athletes list on Monday.
This year's team was made up of 62 Div. I men's basketball student-athletes from across the NAIA. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
The honor is the second for Norvilas, who is persuing his MBA. It is the first for Stacy, who is a Biology major.
The Ravens finished the 2016-17 season in a tie for second place in the Heart of America Athletic Conference under head coach Ryan Moody. They also qualified for the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Div. I National Championship Tournament for the third time in the past four years finishing with an overall record of 21-11.
