The Raven Women's Lacrosse team remained unbeaten in KCAC play on Wednesday night earning an overtime win over Missouri Valley College at the BC Soccer Complex.
Trailing by two goals inside the final 90 seconds of regulation, Benedictine (6-2, 3-0 KCAC) scored on goals from Lizzie Darrow and Riley Etter to pull even and force overtime. Marianna Brown broke through inside the final seconds of the first overtime period to give Benedictine the 8-7 win.
Missouri Valley (1-4, 1-1 KCAC) jumped out to a 3-0 advantage over Benedictine before the Ravens broke their scoreless drought when Kacey Moore found Caitlyn Chickey for the Ravens with 14:28 left in the first half.
From that point, the two teams combined for three goals which allowed Missouri Valley to hold a 4-3 lead at halftime.
Valley struck first in the second half to push their advantage to three before Benedictine outscored them 4-1 over the last 18 minutes of regulation to force overtime.
Mary McEnerney led the Ravens with three goals – which included back-to-back goals to start Benedictine's second-half rally. Moore scored the Ravens remaining goal to go along with her assist.
Benedictine outshot Missouri Valley 38-18 and held a 20-13 advantage in shots on goal.
Taryn St. Louis earned the win, going the distance in goal for the Ravens. She finished with six saves, recording five of those six during the first 30 minutes of play.
