WICHITA – For the third striaght week, members of the Raven Women's Lacrosse team have swept the weekly KCAC honors.
McEnerney paced the Ravens in their 14-7 win over (RV) Midland on Saturday as Benedictine clinched the outright KCAC Championship.
With her five-goal effort she has set a new school record for goals scored, passing the previous record of 30 set last season by Lizzie Darrow. She has now scored 33 goals on the year - which leads the KCAC - while her two assists moved her season total to 11 - which ranks her second in the KCAC.
Headed into the KCAC Postseason Tournament, McEnerney ranks eighth in the NAIA in goals per game (3.7) and shots per game (7.7).
Petruccelli earned the KCAC Title-clinching win for the Ravens in goal as she was stepped in for Taryn St. Louis against Midland. She recorded 12 saves - one off the team high for the season. That included eight saves in the second half as the Ravens limited the Warriors to just two goals in the second half off 11 shots.
The weekly KCAC honor is the second of the season for McEnerney while it is the first for Petruccelli. In total, the Women's Lacrosse Program has earned seven weekly conference honors this season.
The team is off until opening KCAC Tournament play at 10 a.m. on April 20 in Leavenworth on the campus of the University of St. Mary as the top seed in the tournament.
