The Benedictine College Softball program will be under new leadership heading into the 2018 season as Raven Athletic Director Charlie Gartenmayer announced the resignation of head coach Dana Goss after four seasons leading the program.
"We want to wish Coach Goss well as she moves on from her time at Benedictine," Gartenmayer said. "She helped the program transition smoothly into their new field inside the Asher Sports Complex and we thank her for her leadership and flexibility during that process."
In her four years at Benedictine, Coach Goss had an overall record of 91-86. The program's best season under her leadership came during the 2015 season when the Ravens finished with an overall record of 26-17 and earned a third-place finish in the Heart Championship Series, narrowly missing out on an automatic berth into the NAIA playoffs.
Benedictine posted an overall record of 21-25 this past season to finish 10th in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. The Ravens qualified for the Heart Softball Championship where they lost a first-round game to rival Baker University.
A national search for the next Softball head coach will begin immediately with no time table set on the search.
