KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 2017 Heart of America Athletic Conference football season will unofficially kick off on Monday, July 31 with Football Media Day taking place in conjunction with the 3rd Annual Heart Summit.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center, located at 10401 S Ridgeview Road in Olathe, Kan., and will begin at 2:30 p.m.
All 12 head coaches will speak during the event, which will be streamed on the Heart Website and produced by the Niles Media Group, the broadcast partner of the Heart Football Game of the Week.
Assistant Commissioner Lynn Meredith will introduce each head coach and conduct a Q&A with each, providing exclusive preseason insight into the upcoming campaign. The six coaches from each division will take the stage in groups, which will also provide an opportunity for media members to submit questions.
In between the two divisional groups, Clarke head coach Miguel Regalado will have the opportunity to share about the Pride program. Clarke is planning to begin Heart play in the 2019 season.
Fans wishing to submit questions with the opportunity to be asked during the event can submit them on Twitter using the hashtag #HeartFB17.
The 2017 Heart Football Coaches' Preseason Poll will also be released as part of the event, with polls conducted for each division. Grand View shared the 2016 North division title with William Penn, while Baker won the 2016 South Division crown.
The Raven Football season gets underway on Aug. 26 at 11 a.m. as Benedictine hosts Heart South opponent Missouri Valley College in the first Heart Football Game of the Week.
