Benedictine Baseball head coach Anthony Everman has announced the addition of Connor Dawson to his coaching staff for the 2017-'18 season. Dawson comes to Benedictine after spending the last four years as a private instructor and coach for the KC Bullets college prep baseball program.
Coach Dawson attended Neosho County Community College after graduating from Olathe North High School. At Neosho, he was a part of two Neosho teams that combined for over 80 wins, along with being a member of the 2013 Neosho team that finished 5th place at the NJCAA World Series.
After Neosho, Coach Dawson spent time as a hitting instructor, working with athletes at the high school, college, and professional levels. As a head coach with the KC Bullets, Dawson has helped send 44 athletes to the college level, from junior college to NCAA Division 1.
As an assistant coach at Benedictine, Dawson will assist with the offense, the catchers and coordinate the team's strength and conditioning program. His other duties will be coaching first base in the spring and assist in recruiting.
In their second season under Coach Everman, the Ravens posted an overall record of 35-22 while finishing second in the Heart South with a record of 22-10. The 35 wins marked the most for the program since 2016 while their fourth place finish at the Heart Postseason Championship tied for their second-best conference tournament appearance under the Championships current format.
