PARKVILLE, Mo. – The No. 4-ranked Raven Women's Soccer team passed their first road test of the season on Wednesday as they took on (RV) Park University.
Benedictine (2-0) used a two-goal first half to jump ahead of Park (0-1) and never looked back en route to a 5-2 win over the Pirates.
Benedictine held a 17-8 advantage in shots and a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal over Park.
Hair returned the favor on the Ravens second goal of the match and she fed Meyers who scored from 14-yards out to push the Ravens advantage to two during the 28th minute.
Seconds into the second half, Anna Romano gave the Ravens a three-goal advantage when she blasted in a shot from the edge of the box that went over the head of Park's keeper.
From that point, the Ravens and the Pirates would trade goals. After Park scored during the 51st minute, the Ravens answered on a goal from Emily Ambuul. Ambuul's goal came off a long cross from Madison Sanders during the 54th minute.
After Park added their second goal of the match during the 55th minute, the Ravens capped off their scoring when Romano connected with Meyers during the 87th minute.
Ellen Loughman earned the win in goal, going all 90 minutes.
The Ravens return home on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. match against Missouri Baptist University.
