The Raven Men's Soccer team continued their season-opening road trip on Friday and Saturday with a set of matches against Northwestern (Iowa) University in Orange City, Iowa, on Friday, and then against Dordt College on Saturday in Des Moines.
Benedictine (2-0-1) remained unbeaten on the season with a 1-1 draw on Friday against Northwestern before wrapping up the trip with a 4-0 win over Dordt.
The Ravens finished Friday's match with a 30-9 advantage in shots and a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal.
After giving up a first-half goal to the Northwestern, keeper Caleb Jenkins finished with four saves in 110 minutes of action.
On Saturday, the Ravnes used a four-goal second half to secure their second win of the season.
Felipe Cepeda scored the Ravens first goal during the 52nd minute. That was followed by a goal from Levi Spray during the 58th minute. Ryan Dickerson scored his second goal of the season off an assist from Jonn Mullen during the 73rd minute and then Jack Gerker capped off the Ravens offensive effort with an unassisted goal during the 90th minute.
Jenkins went all 90 minutes in goal tallying one save as the Ravens defense limited Dordt to a total of five shots. Benedictine finished with a 21-5 advantage in shots.
The Ravens make their home debute on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. as they host Bellevue University at the BC Soccer Complex. Tuesday's match will be streamed on BRSNtv at portal.stretchinternet.com/ben.
