The No. 20 Raven Men's Soccer team wrapped up Family Weekend on Saturday night with a 2-1 win over William Penn University to register their first win in Heart play and snap a two-game skid.
Benedictine (6-2-1, 1-2 Heart) used a 86th minute goal to secure the win over William Penn (4-3-1, 1-2 Heart) 2-1.
After playing through a scoreless first half, William Penn was the first to break the scoreless drought during the 52nd minute.
The game remained locked at 1-all until the 86th minute when Adam James was able to beat his defender down the right side of the box sending a cross through the box to Ryan Dickerson who beat William Penn keeper Guillermo Pineda inside the far post.
The two teams combined for 16 shots over 90 minutes with Benedictine finishing the second half with a 7-4 advantage.
Benedictine wraps up their three-match homestand on Tuesday night with a 7:30 p.m. match against No. 6 and MNU.
