For the third time this season, the Raven Volleyball team walked off the court with a sweep in conference play. The lastest sweep, a 3-0 win over Avila (3-18, 1-7 Heart).
Benedictine (11-5, 4-4 Heart) earned wins of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-19 to earn the sweep on Tuesday night inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
The Ravens used a .324 hitting percentage to earn their opening set win. The finished the night with a .292 hitting percentage after hitting .349 in the third-and-final set.
The Ravens finished with 40 assists, setting up their offensive attack, anchored by the 37 assists from Taylor Garner.
Defensively, the Ravens finished with 58 digs led by Abby Brown with 19. Carly Taylor added 15 while Haley Cochran added 9. At the net, the Ravens finished with three team blocks with Rahmanzai finished with a solo block and one block assist.
Benedictine used nine aces to set the tone for the match. After setting a new season high on Saturday, the Ravens followed up that effort with a new conference high. Cochran tallied five aces while Garner and Rahmanzai added two each.
The Ravens continue their home stand on Saturday at 2:30 hosting a match with Clarke University. The two schools will also face off in a JV match starting at Noon. Both matches will be streamed on BRSNtv.
