KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On the heels of breaking a three-week old scoring record, the Raven Football team jumped back inside the top 15 of the fourth edition of the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
Benedictine (5-1) moved up to No. 14 as they earned 166 points in this weeks poll after earning 137 points in the third poll of the season last week.
Benedictine set a new school record for single-game scoring en route to a 76-7 win over Central Methodist University. The previous record of 72 was set during week three when the Ravens beat Avila 72-14 in Kansas City.
The Ravens are one of three teams from the Heart in this weeks poll. Heart South front-runner Baker University is ranked No. 2 with 327 points while Heart North opponent Grand View University remained at No. 7 with 260 points.
Benedictine leads the NAIA in total rushing offense with 1,718 yards and they are also tops in sacks by with 26.5. On Saturday in the win over CMU, the Ravens set a new season high recording six sacks against the Eagles. The Ravens also rank second in total scoring offense (319) and scoring offense per game (53.2).

Individually, Ejay Johnson is second in the NAIA in total rushing (716) and total scoring (66). The Ravens have three players among the NAIA top 10 in scoring through six games. In addition to Johnson, Marquis Stewart ranks sixth (56) while Aaron Johnson ranks seventh (54). Jacob Young ranks fifth in total kick scoring with 40 points.

The move back to No. 14 matches the Ravens season high. They were previously ranked No. 14 in the second poll of the season after starting off the regular-season rankings at No. 16.
Benedictine is off this week as all but Graceland University and Evangel University begin prep for divisional play on Oct. 14. The Ravens open up Heart North play at 2 p.m. on Oct. 14 with a trip to Lamoni, Iowa, to take on Graceland.
