DES MOINES – The No. 20-ranked Raven Men's Soccer team remained on the road Wednesday as they took on No. 22 Grand View University.
Benedictine (9-3-1, 4-3 Heart) used a goal during the 102nd minute of play to earn a 1-0 win over Grand View (7-4-2, 4-2-1 Heart).
Caleb Jenkins recorded 10 saves in just over 101 minutes in goal - which included one save in the first golden goal period to keep the game even.
The win is the first shutout for the Ravens since Sept. 2 when they beat Dordt College 4-0. It is also the Ravens third win over an NAIA ranked opponent this season and their second against a NAIA-ranked conference opponent.
The Ravens return home on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. game against Culver-Stockton College. Saturday is the annual Peter Clevinger Scholarship Recognition match with this year's recipient of the Clevinger Scholarship officially honored before the match.
