The Raven volleyball team took one of the top teams in the HAAC to four sets on Tuesday night, falling 3-1 to Baker University.
Baker took the opener 25-15 before the Ravens rallied to take set two, 25-22. Baker closed out the match with two straight wins, 25-18 and 25-15.
Benedictine totaled 41 kills on the night, hitting a match high 13 kills in set three.
Emilee Clark recorded 27 assists to led the offensive attack.
Defensively, in addition to the front line performance of Grazda, Lauren Eggen led the back line with 31 digs while Clark added 16 digs.
The Ravens close out the HAAC regular season on Nov. 5 with a trip to Peru, Neb., to take on Peru State College at 7 p.m. Peru State defeated Graceland 3-0 on Tuesday night to remain a half game ahead of the Ravens in the HAAC standings in a tie for sixth with Culver-Stockton College. Peru State travels to Culver-Stockton on Nov. 1 before hosting Benedictine. Should the Ravens finish in a tie with Culver-Stockton, they would hold the tie-breaker over the Wildcats having won the head-to-head match.
