KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With the conclusion of the 2014 NAIA Cross Country season on Saturday at the National Championships, the Association released the annual Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete teams on Monday as the Raven Cross Country Program was well represented.
The Raven men placed four athletes on the list of 210 men's cross country runners while the Raven women placed three on the list of 340 women's cross country runner.
Robert Bartush, JonElliot Brubaker, Jacob Connealy and Luke Friess represented the Raven men on the 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete team while Kristen Powell, Nina Smart and Randi Toyne represented the Raven women.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
This past season the Raven women earned the 2014 Heart Championship and finished 24th at the NAIA National Championships while the Raven men took third in the Heart Championships.
