Benedictine College Athletic Director Charlie Gartenmayer appointed Miguel Rodrigues as the next head coach of the Raven Men's Soccer program on March 2, 2016.
Most recently Coach Rodrigues served as the first assistant coach at Niagara University, a NCAA Div. I school located in Niagara, New York. Prior to serving at Niagara, he spent the 2012 season as the first assistant at Avila University in Kansas City, Mo.
As a player, Rodrigues played at NCAA Div. I UMKC where he was a two-year captain, an Academic All-America selection and a three-time All-MidCon/Summit League All-Academic selection.
After graduating from UMKC with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts in 2008, he returned to UMKC in 2010 to begin his collegiate coaching career as the Director of Soccer Operations.
Coach Rodrigues currently carries a NSCAA Premier Diploma and has his USSF "B" Coaching License.
John Sosa joined the Raven Men's Soccer coaching staff in the Spring of 2016 under head coach Miguel Rodrigues.
Coach Sosa played collegiate at UMKC where he was a three-time All-Summit League player for the Roos. He was a first-team selection his Junior and Senior seasons.
He received his Bachelor in Arts in Spanish while at UMKC and was a four-time All-Summit League Academic Award winner.
Coach Sosa is currently a player for the Missouri Comets indoor soccer team in Kansas City, Mo. where he has played since 2011. Sosa helped guide the Comets to the 2013 MISL Championship. He is also currently on the United States Futsal National Team and was a member of the 2013 team that won the Four Nations Cup in England.
He has served as a volunteer assistant coach for UMKC since 2011 while also serving as the Director of Coaching for the Summit Summer Club in Lee's Summit, Mo., since 2011. He holds a US Soccer Federation C License.
